Long ago remembering the past,
I see a clumsy overlapping picture,
Me, a child obeying parents fast,
I feel I was the happiest earthly creature.
Obedient not at home, but at school too,
I helped everyone by doing all I can,
Mummy papa I still love and miss you,
Speaks the heart of an orphan.
Orphan was I not by birth,
It was a deadly outcome of an attack by terror,
Still fresh and anew in my memory,
Is the scary sight of that horror.
Away from me as you twinkle in the night sky,
And viewing those shining diamonds above,
Tears roll down from my eye,
As they reminds me of your eternal love.
The world is full of inhabitants,
But no one loves an orphan and care,
To world I pretend I am happy and content,
Theres none here for feelings to share.
Close to lord as you are,
Ask him to call me too,
My heart longs to feel your care,
Mummy papa I still love and miss you.
